Pass Powderkeg is a community-focused ski area owned and operated by the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass that is dedicated to providing an outstanding experience for people of all ages and skill levels.   As an asset to the community, Pass Powderkeg remains true to its core values:  it is a local ski hill with great snow, exciting terrain, that provides access to a diverse alpine environment and a welcoming, fun family atmosphere.

We are still recruiting for a few positions to support the 2024/2025 operation.

  • Guest Services- Looking for someone available on week days (Wednesday -Sunday) and weekends
    • Reporting to the Food, Beverage and Lodge Supervisor, the Guest Services Representative continually strives to provide our guests with a positive, welcoming experience.   This position is primarily responsible for ticket, lesson and rental sales. Representatives are often the first point of contact for snow school bookings, lift ticket and rental sales, season pass sales and other general enquiries. Guest Services Representatives also provide guest information regarding PPK events, services, facilities and assist guests in booking winter activities
  • Food and Beverage- Part Time positions available
    • Reporting to the Food, Beverage and Lodge Supervisor the Food and Beverage Representative will work both prepping and serving food and drinks in the Pass Powderkeg Kitchen in a safe and appropriate manner while upholding food safety and legislative standards and sanitary conditions. The Food and Beverage Representative will be an effective communicator in all situations whose contributions will assist in providing an excellent guest experience. 
  • Lift Operator- Looking for some daytime avalibility Wednesday- Sunday
    • Reporting to the Lift Operations Supervisor, Lift Operators assist in providing outstanding experiences for our guests on the hill. Lift Operators are responsible for safely loading and unloading guests from the lifts, checking tickets as well as answering guest queries. This team has a key role in exceeding guest service expectations, by creating a friendly and positive atmosphereThis position requires physical labour including pulling T-Bars, lifting and shoveling snow. 
  • Little Cubs Attendant- Need to be available Saturdays and Sundays
    • Under the direction of the Snow School Supervisor, the Little Cubs Attendant will be the point of contact for the Little Cubs program, located at the Pass Powderkeg Lions Den YurtThe Little Cubs Attendant will supervise children, assist in the smooth running of the young children’s programming, play games and facilitate ski lessons with guests, be responsible for signing children in and out of the program as well as basic cleaning of the facility. This role is integral for the guest experience in the program. 
  • Instructors- Part Time options for evenings and Weekends
    • Under the direction of the Snow School Supervisor, the primary role of the Snow School Instructor is to provide professional ski or snowboard education, and instruction based on the client’s capabilities. Instructors are responsible for group participants' experience while skiing or riding on the mountain. In order for this experience to be the best possible, Instructors must actively ensure that safety is always paramount, technical assistance is sound and personalized to the clients, genuine rapport with the client/s is established, each lesson is personalized and professional and an infectious passion for the sport is portrayed. 

Required Education and Experience

  1. Customer Service Experience
  2. 15 years of age by date of hire
  3. Ability to work in various weather and transportation to work 
  4. First Aid Training is an asset
